POURING INTO PEOPLE & ORGANIZATIONS
Our leaders of tomorrow need the support of their communities today to thrive and unleash their own full potential.
ACCOUNTABILITY MATTERS
It's on us to be our brother's and sister's keeper.
Acknowledigng the context of historical inequities, Dr. Dugan focuses much of her time, energy, and resources on empowerment for those whose voices are strong but aren’t always heard, particularly Black women, students at the margins, and those who carry the sacred practices of our ancestors. As an equity-centered leader working toward liberation, impact must include supporting redistribution of wealth, access, and power. Just as she was invested in as a young person by the generosity and care of others, Dr. Dugan collaborates with others to consistently find ways to pay it forward.
The way we give
In addition to volunteering in classrooms, investing in "F.U.B.U." projects like Joysource, and advocating for the elevation and compensation of Black teachers, Dr. Dugan strives to be a tangible resource to those who share their gifts in service of our collective progress each and every day.
THROUGH GLOBAL GIVING
In collaboration with friends and family, our fundraising drive with the Lapsley Foundation provides over 5,000 product necessities to amazing young women furthering their education in Accra, Ghana.
THROUGH MICRO FUNDING
Throughout the year, Dr. Dugan solicits organizations whose on-the-ground work transforms the lives of young people everyday. With funding ranging from $250-$2,500, we've been able to support over 27 organizations and counting.
THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS
In memory of our cherished friend, we allocate a portion of our revenue to the Cecilia Marie Austin Scholarship, a fund we established in collaboration with the Texas Southern University School of Communications.
